难忘的泰国之行

October 16th, 2007 by li-sze-alice

。WHY ME???!!

Alamak!!!

Went to see fireworks on both last friday and sat on both teams, Spain and China at Marina. Purpose was also to take firework pics. Oh my gosh, so many people, waiting for the moment. Luckily i went there 3 hrs early to ‘book’ the best positions for the shoots.

Was satisfied with the pics i had taken on friday, though not that perfect cos of the smoke generated by the firework. I managed to take few quite gd shots from the beginning. However i was not satisfied with the shots taken on sat, that’s because i had chosen the wrong spot.  I had initially intend to take the pics outside the esplanade on the big field in front of the supreme court, so that i don’t have to sequeese with the crowd. But i didn’t, cos i don’t like the mossies there, after having a big rain…haizz..in the end, only 1 or 2 shots from sat are ok…sianzz..

Disappointment!!!

August 14th, 2007 by li-sze-alice

My existing fujifilm F470 spoilt recently and have it serviced. It sucks, after having spoilt on my 2nd day Krabi trip (zoom and playback not functioning) and the night scenes pics also sucks, turns out ghostly pics, simply worst than my 1st fujifilm F401. I had lost completely confidence in this brand as both cams spoilt for no reason (1st cam display spoilt due to its CCD problem; 2nd cam spoilt before its warrenty expires)…:( Also its customer support sucks!! Its service center is at Paya Lebar, which is so inconvenient due to its expansion MRT link, that i always have to take a cam there for service…sianzz. Recently i had tried to find F470’s warrenty card and i accidently found something: Made in China!!!! Oh my goodness!!!!!! Also just know that it got 3/5 stars from reviews because it simply lack of other features. Disappointment!! Think i better get a better cam..

A fulfilling trip (30 June 07)

July 2nd, 2007 by li-sze-alice

Just came back from Krabi trip with my friend yesterday night. It was a short trip though; 3 days 2 nights, but to me, it was a fulfilling trip which i think i will recommend this place to my friends…

This place we went to is Ao Nang, a small town in Krabi. There’s a Ao Nang beach nearby. Life there was simple for the residents there. They took up small businesses like Mama food stall, sounvenir stalls, taxi drivers etc..They are very friendly and good in their service. They always put on smiles on their faces..It was a kampong like scene, similar as my hometown in malaysia, whereby palm oil and rubber trees can be seen…important of all, their things are damn cheap!! However minor disappointments were we had missed the chance to rent a motorbike to roam around the street. The rental fee is soo cheap, only S$20 per day, also there’s no shows available.

We ate a lot of Thai food during our stay. Their fry veges are almost similar to chinese style, and is very delicious. We had went to the same fod stall for our 2 days’ dinner, because we think their service is superd and their food is damn good. I prefer their fried fish and their tom yam soup..yummy..

We went for a half-day excursion on our 2nd day - kayaing. We kaya on the wide sea at first, with 2 Thai guides to lead us along. Then slowly we kaya through narrow mangrove swamps. I share the boat with Loi. Because the mangrove way was too narrow, our boats tends to collide against the huge branches and rocks. Poor Loi, she was sitting in front of the boat, she was always being hit by the branches. I was sitting behind her and i was supposed to control the boat direction. Blame my bad sense of direction and poor control of the boat, that’s why Loi always got hit, flumming with fire and came back with blue black on her hand (luckily not face :p)

After the kaya trip, realise i was tanned black all over…luckily not like indian, think this will last for some days before it will disappear…anyway, it’s a gd trip. Our next target will be Pukuet, which we think we must not miss the motorbike rental if there is one.

Funny conversation

June 10th, 2007 by li-sze-alice

Last friday, me, YT and Loo went out for lunch at warehouse. The weather outside was damn hot though, but we still want to go there for lunch as we want to eat that famous roasted chicken-wing rice. The sky was so clear when we were outside, and on our way, we suddenly talked about the damn hot weather in mandarin.

YT: Wah..so hot ah..must walk quickly to the warehouse.

Loo: Ya lor..and look at the clear blue sky..the cloud is so white…

Me: Why ah?? Jing Tian De Tian Qi ‘Chao Ji Bai’ (’today’s weather is so super white)….

Loo and YT laughed…

Loo: Wah…u really good at making sentences…

That was because three of us had shared one of the video clip by Jacky Wu before..his video clip was about his entertainment show ‘Qi Tian Da Sheng’, whereby many guests invited were tested if they will laugh upon listening to some funny ShangDong language, if they laughed they were be punished..in fact they rhymed like valguar languages… that was why my friends and I laughed when i made that sentence…

In fact, our funny conversations had brightend up our day after all those tiring work in office…this sentence was shared everyday whenever we were at work together…:)

Sentosa Trip

May 1st, 2007 by li-sze-alice

Just went to Sentosa today with my friend LF today. It’s been 8 yrs ever since i stepped into Sentosa, wonder if anything has changed or still the same?

Our set destinations were the beaches, Siloso and Palawan beaches (to bio the yantaos and pretty gals of cos..haha). It’s been 2 yrs that i have not stepped onto the beaches and the last time i had gone to the beaches was when i was in Aussie. The weather was fine when i reached there and it was breezy, cool!!! At first another friend Loi was going to join us for the trip but she was down with stomache on the last minute. If only she had came with us, then it’ll be more fun (u know what i mean..haha). I had prepared to come here for a swim and i was prepared. However i realised that i had forgotten to bring my extra clothes when i was on my way to Vivo City. Hence this plan was aborted. If next time i were to come here again, I’ll definitely come here to swim.

We had taken many pics along the way. We had observed that the foreign workers are there too, such as the Philipinos and the Bangalashes… cos it’s labour day, no need to work!!!

There was once LF wanting to take a pic of me standing on the big rocks. To ‘fulfil’ her wish, I climbed up to the rocks bare-footed. After the pic was taken, i had try to climb down, but i was stuck. Jia lat, i had tried to figure out how should i climb down without hurting myself. There was a way to climb down on the right, but it was too narrow. I was stuck on top for nearly 3 minutes and i had no choice but to try my luck. Luckily i managed to climb down, else i had to get ’someone’ to help me down..haha..    Silosobeach11_2    Silosobeach12_1

Time to go back to the other side of the beach. I felt uneasy at my right feet. I took a glance and i saw a big spot underneath my feet. Oh gosh…am i bleeding?? I have a close look and i realise it was black oil and it was a very big stain. My feet had turned blackish. jia lat…did i stepped onto something? Had try to look for toilet to wash my feet, but the toilets are long queue..and finally found one, but after washing, the stain was still there..yucks… Mydirtysandalsi had bought this beach sandals 2 weeks ago (my old one spoilt and the one LF gave to me cannot wear it here) and now it’s stained..GIP SIM ah..i had to thoroughly wash it at home to get rid of the stain…waste my energy again…

Anyway, this trip was fun, cos i like the beaches. The ’stain’ did not affect my mood after all…

Not Again…???

March 26th, 2007 by li-sze-alice

Just don’t understand what’s so good about this western song ‘Hips Don’t Lie’?? My younger bro would always listen to this song loud on our PC everyday. But i don’t understand a single thing of what this music is all about. My god, i bought the PC with my money so at least i should have the final say of what i want to listen to on the PC. Am i selfish??

Well, it’s not that i have never tried to listen to this song attentively on its rythem, but simply i just don’t understand what this song is all about.. When i was younger i would listen to and buy tons of techno music CDs, sometimes even dance and rock on them. But now i have not done that for long time. Instead i got pissed off  and switched off my ears whenever i get to listen to them on radio stations (at least i still listen to disco hits).

Why is that so??? Have I turned old??

How can this be????!!!

I had a match of pool with one of my friend from my company. She was married and with children. I had thought that she was not the kind of person who knows how to play pool, because…….(cannot say lah, else she angry, haha) However surprisingly, she had won me, though she was not really expert in the skills (me too). I broke my glasses!!!! Can’t believe it!!! However during the whole course, we had a lot of fun, with full of laughter. She was also a person who can joke and talk cock..haha..that game really make me destress from my busy work.

Then on 17 march, we played 2 matches again. She proposed that whoever lost the match had to undress herself on the spot. I won the first match, so with the previous match on friday, it’s 1-1. But, i lost the final match again…:( Luckily my friend was not the serious type of person. I don’t have to make a fool of myself in front of her..haha..

We were going to have more matches after this. That will be one of our ‘ECA’ other than talking cock and rubbish during lunch and kacau one another in the fab..haha….

One of the best book i have read

March 19th, 2007 by li-sze-alice

Recently just finished reading a book..a historical book. The title is: MO DAI WANG FEI-WANG RONG HE WEN XIU. I feel that this is the second best book i have read so far, apart from THE LAST EMPEROR PU YI. I think not all ppl like to read historical book, especially when it’s published in tradditional chinese wordings which not all people know how to read, and also less photographs for illustration.

This book illustrates the life of the last emperor’s empress WANG RONG and his concubine WEN XIU. Before i touched this book, i had always thought that PU YI’s wifes are so good-life, able to enjoy all the luxuary that was given to them. But after reading, I feel so sorry for them, especially WANG RONG. Her luxuary as an empress was just a surface. But in reality she had been isolated by PU YI ever since they got married. That was because WANG RONG was not the ideal candidate for PU YI, as both wife and empress. In fact WANG RONG was chosen as PU YI’s wife because of old Ching’s officials’ ’special’ arrangement. Hence for many years of marriage life with PU YI, WANG RONG had not enjoyed having his husband’s love and concern. Instead she ended up somking opium to relieve her bordom.

When PU YI was restored as emperor again in Manchuria by the Japanese, WANG RONG’s life got worst than before. Both her husband and herself were kept under suvilliance by the Japanese. PU YI was just a puppet in the eyes of the Japanese. WANG RONG hated this kind of life more. Firstly, no care and concern from PU YI, secondly, her freedom of movement was restricted within that small Manchuria palace; she can’t even walked out of the palace gate. In the end, she suffered from opium posioning and serious mental breakdown. She died when the Japanese surrendered. Worst still she was not properly buried in the wild. Until now, her remains were still not found. So pathetic….

This book really gave me a great impact. I would recommend this book to those who were interested. If i were to give ratings for this book, I would give 4 stars out of 5. The only star that was not given was its lack of more photographs.

Time is always not enough…

July 13th, 2006 by li-sze-alice

What is the use of working so hard?? Out of 24 hrs, 11 hrs hrs spend on working everyday; with 13 hrs left. 2 hrs of travelling to-and back from work; 11 hrs left. Take 2 hrs for breakfast and dinner; 9 hrs left..Take 8 hrs for sleeping; left with 1 hrs….what can i do?? How to spend this 1 hr alone?? I can only watch 1 hr of TV, or 1 hr of reading…that’s it!!! Simply not enough time to spend some hrs alone…Life is so boring…

I have been living in s’pore for 25 yrs….oh god..25 yrs..and living in s’pore is getting tougher and stressful…i still have 25 more yrs before i can retire…how long can i tahan??
