A fulfilling trip (30 June 07)
Just came back from Krabi trip with my friend yesterday night. It was a short trip though; 3 days 2 nights, but to me, it was a fulfilling trip which i think i will recommend this place to my friends…
This place we went to is Ao Nang, a small town in Krabi. There’s a Ao Nang beach nearby. Life there was simple for the residents there. They took up small businesses like Mama food stall, sounvenir stalls, taxi drivers etc..They are very friendly and good in their service. They always put on smiles on their faces..It was a kampong like scene, similar as my hometown in malaysia, whereby palm oil and rubber trees can be seen…important of all, their things are damn cheap!! However minor disappointments were we had missed the chance to rent a motorbike to roam around the street. The rental fee is soo cheap, only S$20 per day, also there’s no shows available.
We ate a lot of Thai food during our stay. Their fry veges are almost similar to chinese style, and is very delicious. We had went to the same fod stall for our 2 days’ dinner, because we think their service is superd and their food is damn good. I prefer their fried fish and their tom yam soup..yummy..
We went for a half-day excursion on our 2nd day - kayaing. We kaya on the wide sea at first, with 2 Thai guides to lead us along. Then slowly we kaya through narrow mangrove swamps. I share the boat with Loi. Because the mangrove way was too narrow, our boats tends to collide against the huge branches and rocks. Poor Loi, she was sitting in front of the boat, she was always being hit by the branches. I was sitting behind her and i was supposed to control the boat direction. Blame my bad sense of direction and poor control of the boat, that’s why Loi always got hit, flumming with fire and came back with blue black on her hand (luckily not face :p)
After the kaya trip, realise i was tanned black all over…luckily not like indian, think this will last for some days before it will disappear…anyway, it’s a gd trip. Our next target will be Pukuet, which we think we must not miss the motorbike rental if there is one.
