Not Again…???

Just don’t understand what’s so good about this western song ‘Hips Don’t Lie’?? My younger bro would always listen to this song loud on our PC everyday. But i don’t understand a single thing of what this music is all about. My god, i bought the PC with my money so at least i should have the final say of what i want to listen to on the PC. Am i selfish??

Well, it’s not that i have never tried to listen to this song attentively on its rythem, but simply i just don’t understand what this song is all about.. When i was younger i would listen to and buy tons of techno music CDs, sometimes even dance and rock on them. But now i have not done that for long time. Instead i got pissed off  and switched off my ears whenever i get to listen to them on radio stations (at least i still listen to disco hits).

Why is that so??? Have I turned old??

How can this be????!!!

I had a match of pool with one of my friend from my company. She was married and with children. I had thought that she was not the kind of person who knows how to play pool, because…….(cannot say lah, else she angry, haha) However surprisingly, she had won me, though she was not really expert in the skills (me too). I broke my glasses!!!! Can’t believe it!!! However during the whole course, we had a lot of fun, with full of laughter. She was also a person who can joke and talk cock..haha..that game really make me destress from my busy work.

Then on 17 march, we played 2 matches again. She proposed that whoever lost the match had to undress herself on the spot. I won the first match, so with the previous match on friday, it’s 1-1. But, i lost the final match again…:( Luckily my friend was not the serious type of person. I don’t have to make a fool of myself in front of her..haha..

We were going to have more matches after this. That will be one of our ‘ECA’ other than talking cock and rubbish during lunch and kacau one another in the fab..haha….

One of the best book i have read

Recently just finished reading a book..a historical book. The title is: MO DAI WANG FEI-WANG RONG HE WEN XIU. I feel that this is the second best book i have read so far, apart from THE LAST EMPEROR PU YI. I think not all ppl like to read historical book, especially when it’s published in tradditional chinese wordings which not all people know how to read, and also less photographs for illustration.

This book illustrates the life of the last emperor’s empress WANG RONG and his concubine WEN XIU. Before i touched this book, i had always thought that PU YI’s wifes are so good-life, able to enjoy all the luxuary that was given to them. But after reading, I feel so sorry for them, especially WANG RONG. Her luxuary as an empress was just a surface. But in reality she had been isolated by PU YI ever since they got married. That was because WANG RONG was not the ideal candidate for PU YI, as both wife and empress. In fact WANG RONG was chosen as PU YI’s wife because of old Ching’s officials’ ’special’ arrangement. Hence for many years of marriage life with PU YI, WANG RONG had not enjoyed having his husband’s love and concern. Instead she ended up somking opium to relieve her bordom.

When PU YI was restored as emperor again in Manchuria by the Japanese, WANG RONG’s life got worst than before. Both her husband and herself were kept under suvilliance by the Japanese. PU YI was just a puppet in the eyes of the Japanese. WANG RONG hated this kind of life more. Firstly, no care and concern from PU YI, secondly, her freedom of movement was restricted within that small Manchuria palace; she can’t even walked out of the palace gate. In the end, she suffered from opium posioning and serious mental breakdown. She died when the Japanese surrendered. Worst still she was not properly buried in the wild. Until now, her remains were still not found. So pathetic….

This book really gave me a great impact. I would recommend this book to those who were interested. If i were to give ratings for this book, I would give 4 stars out of 5. The only star that was not given was its lack of more photographs.
